Andrew Thomas Michael Larson, 20, of Scotrun, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 9 in Middle Smithfield Township. Born in New York, New York, he was the son of Steven and Mary-Agnes (Higgins) Larson of Scotrun. He was a 2006 graduate of Scranton Prep, where he was a Junior Statesmen, a member of the soccer and bowling teams, and the Arts Society. He was presently a student at Northampton Community College taking courses to enable him to return to Rochester Institute of Technology where he had been awarded a merit scholarship. He was employed as a carpenter's apprentice with his father at Steve Larson Contracting. Andrew also enjoyed life-guarding during the summer months at Camelbeach and snowboard instructing during the winter months at Camelback. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Tannersville. Snowboarding was Andrew's favorite activity. He also loved video games, playing his guitar, and drawing. His love of reading influenced his art. Andrew was an independent thinker and spirit who had a forgiving nature. His generosity was known among his friends and family who said he was too generous. Andrew was a young man whose loss leaves a void in the lives of many. He loved every member of his large family and treated his cousins like brothers and sisters. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents: Thomas and Lorraine Larson of Normal, IL; maternal grandmother: Veronica R. Higgins of Brooklyn, NY; godmother: Veronica M. Higgins of New York, NY; three cousins, who were like his brothers: Edward Jacob of Park Ridge, NJ, Michael Cortes of Brooklyn, NY and Robert Regan of Allendale, NJ; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and two cats: Kaysey and Tigger. Andrew was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Edward James Higgins; his godfather: Michael Kelleher, and Andrew's dog, Max. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, February 13 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 and 390, Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Richard E. Czachor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 14 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church, Cherry Lane Road, Tannersville. Family and Friends are asked to go directly to the church for mass. Burial will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Growing Concern Montessori School, P.O.
