Edward J. Henninger, 69, of Blakeslee, died Wednesday, October 5 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains. He was the husband of Joanne (Toolan) Henninger. Born in Edwardsville, he was the son of the late William and Catherine (Leonard) Henninger. Before his retirement, Edward was a chemical supervisor employed by the Hoffman-LaRoche Pharmaceutical Comapany. As a member of the United States Air Force, he served from 1954 to 1958. He was of the Catholic faith. In addition to his wife, Joanne, he is survived by a son, Mark Horst of Manhattan, New York; step-son, Brian Horst of Wilkes-Barre, three step-daughters, Michele Horst of Kingston, Coleen Horst of Forty-Fort, Cheryl Santerilli of Hackettstown, New Jersey; eleven grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8 at the Bolock Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. A Blessing Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Private entombment will take place on Monday, October 10 at the Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
