Forrest Miller

Forrest D. Miller, 76, of Canadensis died Saturday, January 8. He is survived by his wife Vivian V. (Price) Miller. Born in Pocono Lake, he is the son of the late Stanley and Maude (Heller) Miller. Forrest was a member of Salem UCC in Pocono Pines. He served in the Navy during the Korean War Era aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier. He was a charter member of the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Ambulance corps and was an avid outdoorsman. Before his retirement he was a patrolman for the Pocono Lake Preserve for 38 years. In addition to his wife Vivian, he is survived by daughter: Jody Hutton of Pocono Lake; two sons: Joel Miller and his wife Robin of Pocono Lake and Justin W. Miller of Pocono Summit; seven grandchildren: Abbalie, Emily, Rebecca and Scott Hutton, Kaitlyn, Lindsay and Joshua Miller and several nieces and nephews. Pastor John Stowell will conduct a Memorial Service on Tuesday, January 11 at 2 p.m. at Salem UCC, Old Rt. 940, Pocono Pines. Fellowship to follow in the Church Hall immediately after service. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem UCC of Pocono Pines.
