Richard L. Catalano, 75, of Easton, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospice House. Born in Greenville he was the son of the late Salvadore and Margaret (DiDonato) Catalano. Richard was the beloved husband of Kathy (Wasser) Catalano. Rich was a dedicated educator and coach in the Pocono Mountain School District. He also worked as an adjunct professor at East Stroudsburg University and an admissions counselor at Northampton County Community College. Rich touched the lives of countless individuals. He was comforted in his final days by hearing of these impacts from past students, colleagues and friends. Rich's infectious smile and wit will be sorely missed. Survivors: In addition to his wife Kathy, Richard will be lovingly remembered by his son, Michael Catalano and wife Kellianne; daughters, Amy Swingle and husband Richard and Marci Kiester and husband Craig; grandchildren, Megan Altemose, Andrew Altemose, Matthew Catalano, Katharine Catalano, Zachary Kiester, Caden Kiester, Brady Kiester, Zachary Swingle and Brandon Swingle and brothers, Anthony Catalano and Robert Catalano. Richard is preceded in death by his sister, Linda (Catalano) Swanson. Services: A Memorial Mass will take place at 11:00A.M. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 327 Cherry Lane Road, Tannersville, Pa. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M in the Bolock Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, Pa 18326. Interment will be private at St. Michael's Cemetery in Greenville, Pa. Face masks will be required for entry and the family asks that social distancing precautions are taken.
