Rosemary Ruby

Rosemary Ruby, 54, of Tobyhanna, died Monday, July 18 at Pleasant Valley Manor. She was the widow of Edward J. Ruby. Born in Staten Island, New York, she was the daughter of Constantine Zazakos of Snydersville and the late Carmela (Durso) Zazakos. Before moving to the Poconos, Rosemary was employed in the banking industry in New York City. She was very active in the PTO at Coolbaugh Elementary and Pocono Mountain High School. She is survived by a son, Jason J. Ruby of Tobyhanna; her father, Constantine Zazakos of Snydersville; and a sister, Elaine Zazakos of Tobyhanna. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Ruby, who died in 1990; and her mother, Carmela Zazakos, who died in 1983. The Reverend Father Ron Hughes will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21 at St. Ann's Church in Tobyhanna. Entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, July 20 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
