Scott Kenney Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Scott H. Kenney, 36, of Pocono Pines, died Thursday, September 7, at home. He was the husband of Janice (Sottile) Kenney. Born in Hempstead, New York, he was the son of James and Barbara (Bender) Kenney. Before his illness, Scott was a computer technician for the Pocono Mountain School District. He was a member of Our lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Pocono Pines and recently received his Fourth Degree in the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mildred Bender Madeo of Westbury, NY; one sister, Sandra Licata and her husband, Thomas of North Babylon, NY; his mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and James Sottile of North Port, Florida; his grandmother-in-law, Katherine Antoniadis of North Port, Florida; brother-in-law, Steven Sottile, and his wife, Debra of Islandia, NY; two nieces, Riley Beth Sottile and Gia Angel Licata; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The Reverend Father John Boyle will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pocono Pines. Cremation will follow the mass. There will be a viewing from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 10 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley and on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the church.
